What exactly is a Sew-Along?  In a nutshell, it is when a group of people all work on the same project in bite-size chunks.

The beauty of a sew-along is that participants don’t have to all be in the same location.  Instructions are distributed via a blog, facebook or email.  These instructions can be written text, illustrations or videos.  You can work on the project in your own sewing room, in your own time.  Social media is generally the platform used for participants to ask questions, share ideas and post brag photos of the finished product – it’s a virtual social sewing group!

Anyone can join the AUSSEW-Along group on Facebook.  Some sew-alongs are open to the public while others are restricted to ASG members only.  If you don’t want to miss out, why not JOIN now.

ASG Members can access instructions for all the Sew-Alongs via the Members Only section of the website.
  • Select the MEMBERS tab from the main menu and login with your member number and password.
  • Select the Documents and Resources menu
  • Entering 'sew-along' in the Search field will display a list of all sew-alongs.  Entering the name of a specific sew-along (or part of the name) will filter the list.
