Larraine started sewing from a young age and continues to be passionate about sewing, still making all her clothes. Her focus is on attention to detail, fit and finishing techniques.
Larraine completed the Fashion Technology Certificate and attended Teachers' College. She is also a certified Palmer/Pletsch teacher.
Larraine worked in the sewing machine industry for 25 years, working with innovative sewing machines, machine software and accessories. She loves to have new accessories to experiment with, using them to incorporate new techniques and embellishments on garments.
Larraine has contributed to Stitches Magazine, Machine Embroidery magazine and Husqvarna magazine Zig Zag. She also ran training programs for sewing machine dealers, conducted inspirational seminars in Australia and New Zealand, taught at the Husqvarna Convention in the USA and attended meetings in Sweden.
Larraine is now a freelance teacher and loves passing on her extensive knowledge in workshops.
