Marking tucks requires absolute precision. The fold lines must be parallel, on grain, and perfectly straight. Because fabrics suited to tucks are often delicate, sheer, or unstable, the marking process can actually be more difficult than sewing them. In this class, you’ll learn a simple technique for stabilising fabric and marking tucks accurately. You’ll also discover how to calculate spacing and fabric requirements, and finally, how to transform a plain shirt yoke pattern into one featuring tucks.
