How we work

Find out how we support our members across Australia.

Local

Your experience with the Australian Sewing Guild is likely to be a Sewcial Group - a lively gathering of sewists who come together for stitching, laughing and learning.  Each Group has a Group Coordinator who is the contact person for members and non-members who would like to know more about what happens at a Sewcial Group.  Larger groups may have a Treasurer and Secretary.

Regional

At a regional level, Sewcial Groups can come together for larger events like Friendship Days, Sewing Retreats and exhibitions.  A Region Liaison is appointed to coordinate the region's activities.  Other members may choose to serve as treasurers, newsletter editors or in other positions if required.

National

The National Board of Directors take responsiility for compliance, governance and strategic planning for the future.  The Board oversees the development and distribution of policies and procedures in keeping with ACNC guidelines.

Positions on the National Board are voluntary and members are elected at the Annual General Meeting.  Directors are listed in our newsletter and on the Contact Directory page.
